Gabriel Cardenas is an artist, social activist, musician and muralist. He has been painting since a young age, and uses his paintings to mediate social justice. He was a student in the Urban Art Workshop during the Fall quarter of 2015. The following year, after he graduated from UCSB with a B.A in Sociology, with minors Art and Education, Cardenas was offered the instructing position the Fall class of 2016.

Nerwel Zhao is currently a junior at UCSB, working towards her Bachelor degree in Biology, with minors in Art and LGBTQ Studies. She was one of Gabriel Cardenas's student in the Urban Art Workshop, during the Fall of 2016.

Kortney Pham is currently a fourth year Art major at UCSB. She was a student in the Urban Art Workshop during the Fall of 2015 and 2016. She was the main photographer for both classes.

Abbey Anderson is a second year at UCSB, pursuing a sociology major with an art minor. As an artist she has experimented with glass art, drawing, painting, and ceramics, and currently is focusing on photography.

Juliet Fong is in her fourth and last year at UCSB. As a biology major she enjoys taking art classes for her art minor as a break from STEM classes. She loves working in paint, ink, drawing, mixed media, and has recently gotten into graphic design using Illustrator/Indesign.
